Durham County Council

Spennymoor Ward

UKIP Candidate

Real change is happening now because of Brexit which we must accept as our direction and future. We cannot stop it and Durham County Council must work together with Parliament to access new initiatives to ensure our region and our town get the best of what is available. Because of that it makes sense to have representation from all parties.

I am standing as a UKIP candidate to do just that having lived in the Spennymoor area for almost forty years. I have worked for the Civil Service as an Executive Officer at the start of my working life and as a Castle Custodian at the end of it, between which I have held successful Management positions within the Commercial world giving me some insight into many aspects of Government service, working life and customer care. I would certainly use my experience to promote the rich Heritage of County Durham especially since we have the DLI Collection and a fledgling Mining Museum on our doorstep, which could be combined into a very special visitor centre.

I now live in Tudhoe Village and sadly recall the decline of local Industry, Leisure facilities and the fabric of Spennymoor Town Centre itself, highlighted by the disgraceful condition of Festival Walk which has been neglected for too long. Now is time to change that by asking you to look at things differently and to vote differently this time around.

Now is the time to vote UKIP to support everyone’s point of view.
